2020 Conference “Peaceful Maritime Engagement in East Asia and the Pacific Region” POSTPONED

DUE TO THE CORONA VIRUS THREAT THIS CONFERENCE HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL MAY 2021.  NEW DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON.

The conference will address “Peaceful Maritime Engagement in East Asia and the Pacific Region”. Panels: Baselines and Archipelagic States; Navigation Rights/Law Enforcement; Arctic Shipping; Maritime Security Issues Concerning Small Island States; East China Sea Maritime Boundaries; Preservation of the Marine Environment, Including the Hazard of Plastic Debris; and Issues Arising Out of Climate Change. Our 44th Annual Conference is co-organized with The Japan Institute of International Affairs, World Maritime University--Sasakawa Global Ocean Institute at the World Maritime University and the Nippon Foundation.
